ABOUT US…
Wadsworth Design Build was founded by Rob Wadsworth 30 years ago in Southern Vermont. In the beginning, the goal was simple, to build beautiful homes that could stand the test of time - one home at a time. The company started with Rob’s passion for excellent design, fine carpentry and innovative building styles for homeowners looking to build a quality home. With his small team of carpenters, they were able to build the foundation for a company that grew organically by working with clients that appreciated excellence in craftsmanship as well as a team that was passionate about what they produced for the next generation of what Vermont homes could be.
Decades later, the company has grown into a full-service design build firm with a team of in-house architectural designers, interior designers and craftsmen that bring to life unique and stunning homes for clients in Vermont and beyond.

In 2021, our company expanded adding additional client services of Interior Design and Landscape Design to the Design Studio creative services – truly offering up a one-stop shop for clients that range from full-time Vermonters to those making Vermont their second home location from New York City, Philadelphia, Boston, and other areas.
“The creative process starts with a dream,“ says Rob. “Clients come to us to help them make their Vermont dream a reality. We enjoy the interactive process of working with clients because we get to know them along the journey, building a home is very personal and their homes become a part of our family. We take pride in what we design and what we build - that has sustained us. We are in a state that has some of the top ski locations in the world, there is stunning nature all around us, we have four seasons allowing for active lifestyles and healthy living all the time – we offer up a place for clients to come home to and get away from their lives to enjoy what Vermont has to offer. We help them to set the stage for the best home base possible for their families. Our clients come here to establish roots and build a family history and the homes that we produce are part of that history and they deserve attention to detail. That is what we have been focused on for the past 30 years and that is what we’ll continue to do for the next 30 years.”
